Every student has a story worth telling. My job is to help them tell it.

Essay coaching isn't about filling in a template or hitting a checklist of "winning" ingredients. It's about sitting with a student long enough to understand how they think, what they care about, and what they have to say that no one else can. That's where the real work begins.

In each session, I create a space where students feel free to explore — to write messy first drafts, change direction, and find the thread that actually means something to them.

I ask questions more than I give answers. I listen for the idea buried underneath the safe, formulaic one.

The result is writing that's genuinely their own — shaped by their voice, their experiences, and their ideas — and strong enough to stand out because of that authenticity, not in spite of it
